South Pembrokeshire MP Simon Hart is pictured at Megna Indian Restaurant in Narberth after he nominated it to take part in the prestigious Tiffin Cup competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the country.
The Tiffin Cup is an annual competition awarded by a cross-party group of MPs called the Tiffin Club. The aim of the competition is to celebrate the quality and diversity of South Asian food in Britain and at the same time raise money for the charity World Vision.
Each MP can nominate a South Asian restaurant in their constituency. The best of these go forward to a national final which takes place at a special cook-in at Bellamy’s Restaurant near the Houses of Parliament.
Mr Hart said: “I am delighted that the nomination for Megna has been accepted and that they will be representing Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire in this year’s Tiffin Cup. This is such a prestigious competition and I look forward to welcoming Megna to the House of Commons should they win their regional heat.”
