MP ORGANISES FIFTY PLUS FAIR IN PEMBROKE
Advice, information, support and cups of tea will all be on offer at Simon Hart MP’s Fifty Plus Fair being held in Pembroke Dock on Wednesday November 8th.
The event is aimed at anyone aged over 50, their family, friends and carers and takes place at the Pater Hall between 10am and 1pm.
“We held a similar event in Tenby earlier this year and it was a great success with more than 100 visitors and 20 stallholders,” said Mr Hart.
“Organisations including the Fire Brigade, British Red Cross, community transport experts and trading standards officers from the County Council have all confirmed that they will be coming,” explained Mr Hart.
As well as practical advice on matters such as pensions and rent, there will also be emotional support on offer from charities such as Shelter and West Wales Action on Mental Health.
Mr Hart added: “An important part of the day last time was the socialising and there will be free tea, coffee and biscuits on offer once again so that people can have a catch up with friends as well as picking up useful advice and information.”
