SIXTY RESIDENTS JOIN FORCES TO SAVE HISTORIC LAUGHARNE MANSION

Sixty concerned residents turned out at a public meeting to come up with an action plan to save Laugharne’s historic Island House.

The Grade 2 * listed Tudor house is in a central location close the Castle in the town and has  decayed since its last occupant died 15 years ago.

Simon Hart MP is encouraging as many people as possible to have their say on making a dangerous Narberth junction safer.

Redstone Cross, just north of the town, is a notoriously tricky junction with traffic having to negotiate the busy A40.

SIMON HART MP LAUNCHES NEW TOWY FERRY

The villages of Llansteffan and Ferryside are directly linked for the first time in 60 years thanks to a new ferry officially launched by Simon Hart MP.

“The Glansteffan” is an eight-seater amphibious vehicle which is running between the two Towy communities five days a week.

TENBY TRAIN STATION GETS DISABLED ACCESS

Simon Hart MP has welcomed the news that Tenby train station is in line for a share of a £300 million grant which will improve disabled access.

Mr Hart has been campaigning for improved step-free access at the busy station and wrote a letter of support for the funding bid.
